This year, our Club proudly hosted both a regional and a national specialty—each with fantastic turnout and enthusiasm. The national specialty alone showcased 22 magnificent Griffons in the ring!
Across the country, our Griffs have been shining in every arena. We celebrated new Canadian Championships, Grand Championships, and Grand Championship Bronze and Silver accomplishments in conformation. Our members’ dogs excelled in performance sports as well—earning titles in upper-level barn hunt, scent detection, rally obedience, dock diving, field tests, water tests, and field trials. Griffs in NAVHDA had a remarkable year too, achieving Natural Ability, Gun Dog, Utility, and even the prestigious Versatile Champion titles. And one of the most incredible highlights: only eight dogs in all of Canada have earned the Water Dog Elite title--seven of them are Griffons! We truly have an extraordinary breed, and the passion and dedication of our community make it even more special. We can’t wait to see what 2026 brings, and we sincerely hope we can count on your continued membership for another outstanding year. -The Wire-Haired Pointing Griffon Club of Canada Board.
